Biota Laboratory
BIOTA COLLECTION LABORATORY

The biota collection laboratory of CCMRS-IPB, used as a center for the development and collection of specimen samples of biota, which is obtained from marine center, IPB Services and Community Development Institute research activities in the field of management and utilization of coastal and ocean resources. This collection Laboratory can also be used by faculty and students S1, S2 and S3 in the IPB and the general public for research.
In this laboratory provided some facilities such as places to store various collections of aquatic biota, biota both freshwater and marine biota. The collection is owned by Biota Collection Laboratory include the following:
639 Collection of specimens of freshwater biota from various family, genus and species taken from different locations in Indonesian waters, which consists of:
- 54 species of shrimp Biota
- 497 species of Macro invertebrata
- 128 species of Plankton
Collection of marine specimens from different locations of Indonesia's marine waters and is composed of various genera, namely:
- 447 species of Phytoplankton
- 384 species of Zooplankton,
- 43 species of Micro benthos
- 240 species Macro benthos
