Library CCMRS-IPB as a place to manage all the scientific information has a duty to collect, process and preserve and disseminate scientific information return that requires the information to him. As a unit manager of scientific information on environment CCMRS-IPB, then active role CCMRS Library-IPB is needed in implementing the Tri Dharma University in IPB. Therefore, the information required and the resulting need for handling and good management, so it can be useful and effective in order to develop further knowledge and to support development in Indonesia.

Type of library services provided CCMRS-IPB is as follows:

• Services read the book in place, assisted by officers.
• Service literature; explicitly mentioning the topic, users will get a list of appropriate literature from various information sources such as books, journal articles, research reports, thesis / theses, and others. List will be equipped with search and photocopy fees for each titles literature.
• Photocopy services; part of a book, journal articles, research reports can be requested a copy by replacing the cost of photocopying and postage for users from other cities.
• Online Catalog Service on the Internet; catalog library collections CCMRS-IPB will be accessible via the internet. In addition to the data title, author, publisher, year of each title literature, is also equipped with annotations. Thus the user can better determine if the literature according to their needs.

To support this facility and library functions, CCMRS-IPB has a library room that is equipped with a chair and reading table, AC, telephone network, computer, printer and a computerized library catalog, so that makes it easy to search or search within a collection and information for the user. The atmosphere of comfortable reading room and tidy. CCMRS-IPB Library has a collection of literature related to coastal and ocean are quite complete and up to date, both published domestically and abroad. Library collection  CCMRS-IPB Library form of textbooks, journals, magazines, papers, articles, research reports, thesis / theses, newspaper clippings, and reference collection relating to coastal and ocean topics. To optimize the library, CCMRS-IPB latest collection seeks to add a gradual and continuous. CCMRS-IPB Library serves as the Information and Documentation Centre in the field of management of coastal and ocean resources for all parties concerned.
